Assembling the web connected thermostat

Putting the pieces together, and squeezing into the matching enclosure (matching the rest of the house that is).

All the software pieces to test each element of the design have been completed, but now it's time to assemble the software too. The first pass will do the simple thermostat things, requesting heat, do nightime setbacks, and the web connection will only serve to update the clock once a day.

Next I will setup an inhouse server to gather data from the thermostat, and then eventually control it via a webpage. That webpage will be on the local network at first, but then some secure gateway to the internet will allow remote access as well.

This project has been an embarassing long time coming, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. The full story and details are at the forum.
