WAIT

Syntax

WAIT ( milliseconds )

Description

Delay program execution a number of milliseconds. 1000 milliseconds is one second

WAIT and PAUSE are equivalent.

Example

Print tick once per second for ever.

  WHILE 1

       PRINT "tick"

       WAIT(1000)

    LOOP

Differences from other BASICs

• no equivalent in Visual BASIC
• PBASIC has a similar function that uses a CPU dependent "tick" value
